Get Your “Lawn Body” with These Amazing Fitness Apps

Since no one will be visiting any beaches anytime soon, we, the fitfam geng will have to settle for the “lawn bod”, until the coast clears.

You may never have heard this but your “lawn bod”, or lawn body, is the new “beach bod”. Since no one will be visiting any beaches anytime soon, unless they’re willing to risk getting arrested (or worse) just because they want to flaunt their beach bodies, we, the fitfam geng will have to settle for the “lawn bod”, until the coast clears. Yeah, that’s right – we will flaunt our six-packs, huge biceps, and tight, round glutes on our lawns while getting rid of the trash or watering the grass or whatever else we decide to do on our lawns.

During these ‘Corona Times’ in which many states are under lockdown orders, many things  have changed in our lifestyles –  we work from home, party at home, get married at home (congrats if you are one of these lucky ones), and so much more – and to be honest, it will be very difficult to stay loyal to the #fitfam culture. You skip a day of exercise and you shrug it off because, well, it’s just one day. Then you try to get up and do the work the next day, but you just don’t “feel it”. Maybe it’s because your favourite workout partners are not there, and you miss them. I’ve been there, and I know workouts can be so much fun with friends around, and quite tedious otherwise.

Things go on like this for a few days, and then a few weeks, and before you know it, you’ve gone a whole three months without so much as a squat or pushup. Yet, our food consumption has not reduced, and frankly for most of us, it has skyrocketed!

At this point you are nowhere near your “beach body” goals, or to put it in corona-appropriate terms, you’re nowhere near your “lawn body” goals, and you can already see the ever-increasing roundness of your one-pack ‘stomok’. Trust me, we’ve all been here before, even the most faithful, loyal and honest #fitfam gang members.

That’s why we are here – to help each other navigate these difficult times and still look hot while doing it.  Yes, it is very doable, and with these apps, you can get your “lawn bod” ready for summer. With 10 -15 minutes everyday, or slightly more, depending on the intensity of the workout chosen, you can get your mojo back and get your lawn bod in time for summer.

There are many fitness apps out there, and it can be quite confusing to find the right app that meets your needs, or has the right content for you. These three apps can be used together for maximum effectiveness. I have all three on my phone, and the first two are connected to the third. This helps me monitor my progress, and especially my consistency levels. What’s more , you don’t have to pay a dime.
